About Utah Senior Village

Utah Senior Village incorporated in Utah in 2010 by Richard Starley, Jan Tyler and L.B. "Butch" Jentzsch as a nonprofit organization to serve the needs of seniors who wish to age in place in their own homes. Utah Senior Village's plan is to establish local neighborhood villages throughout the state, serving local seniors. Utah Senior Village affiliates are membership organizations that provide direct support services to their members, which allow them to continue to live independently as long as possible. For information about starting a village in your neighborhood, contact Utah Senior Village today. Our goal is not to duplicate existing community services but to refer and enhance where possible. Our aproach is a "concierge" approach to services.

There are more than 84,000 seniors in Salt Lake County and more than 120,000 seniors in Utah. Although Utah is the youngest state in the nation, there  are still many, many seniors in our state who need village services.
